- Project Description:
Participants are asked to memorize emotional and neutral words for a subsequent recognition memory task while being monitored in the MRI scanner. During the recognition task, participants also provide ratings as to recollective experience. Previous work has indicated that this procedure is highly sensitive to detection of clinically significant memory problems. As well as being of general interest, more specifically understanding about the neural underpinnings of such recollective deficits could advance or understanding of memory problems, including diagnosis and treatment.
