Article about CMIV Alumnus Andreas Sigfridsson, PhD, in Circulation

Andreas Sigfridsson, who received his PhD at CMIV is in focus in the current issue of Circulation. Andreas, currently a postdoc at the Institute for Biomedical Engineering, University of Zürich and Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH Zürich), Zürich, Switzerland, received a Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship for Career Development to conduct a project on spectroscopic magnetic resonance imaging of cardiac metabolism. Funded under the European Union’s 7th Frame work Programme, the fellowships enable researchers with a PhD or at least 4 years of full-time research experience to gain advanced training. Andreas received his PhD from Linköping University, Linköping, Sweden, where he researched methods for magnetic resonance imaging of cardiac motion, including myocardial deformation and flow quantification, and acquisition techniques for cardiac and respiratory motion
