Prof. Gudrun Alm Carlsson receives a prize
Gudrun Alm Carlsson, professor in radiation physics, receives the 2005 Erna Ebelings prize from The Swedish Society of Medicine, for her contributions to medical radiation dosimetry.
Ass. Prof. Peter Lundberg receives a prize
Associate Professor Peter Lundberg, was awarded a prestiguous distinction from the County Council of Ostergotland. The 2005 Research Price was awarded Peter Lundberg for his important contributions to the development of fMRI-methodology for mapping motor and language centra in the human brain, as well as his enthusiasm for engaging scientists from different fields of research, with the specific aim of converting scientific results into clinical applications.

Bengt Wranne has passed away
Professor Bengt Wranne has passed away after a short period of illness. He was the chairman of the board of directors at CMIV and dean of the faculty of health sciences at Linköping University.
International journalists visited CMIV
Specially invited international journalists visited Linköping and Norrköping in June this summer. This included talks and demonstrations here at CMIV and other excellent research/development environments such as SAAB, SMHI and VTI. The evaluation shows that journalists were very satisfied with the program and it has already generated articles all around the world.
CMIV is represented at ESMRMB 2005
The annaual conference of European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB) is held i Basle, Switzerland, September 15-18.
